What Determines Your Birth Chart? 2/2
In Part One, we discussed that you inherit not only your parents' genes but also their birth chart placements. How is this possible?
To answer this question, we need to understand whether it is you (as a fetus) pushing against your mother’s cervix, signaling that it’s time to be born, or whether it is your mother who initiates labor because you have grown too large.
According to science, labor is driven by a combination of maternal and fetal signals.
If it’s you giving the signal to your mother, why do you give that signal at that time and not at another? Consider Prince William, who was born at 9:03 PM. Why at that time? Why not at another time?
The answer is that he was born at that time to get Sagittarius on the Ascendant (from his mother) and the Sun in the 8th house, which is akin to his father’s Sun in Scorpio. As you probably know, the Ascendant changes signs every two hours.
Similarly, Prince Harry had Jupiter on the Ascendant (Jupiter rules Sagittarius), and he has the Sun ruling the 8th house, as it falls in Leo.
Once we have proven the inheritance of birth chart placements from parents, the condition of these inherited placements, according to the Skanda Purana, influences life until the age of 12. After that, life is shaped by one's own karma, accumulated from past lives.
What is Karma?
Karma, originating from the Sanskrit term for "action" or "deed," embodies the principle of cause and effect in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. It serves as a causal framework that spans multiple lifetimes, influencing the circumstances of an individual’s life journey.
Karma acts like an accounting ledger, carefully documenting every action and capturing both positive and negative deeds.
Examples
Helping people in need (e.g., donating food) leads to generosity or support in future lives.
Spreading lies or gossip results in a damaged reputation or betrayal by others in a future lifetime.
Neutrality of Karma
Karma is neither a system of punishment nor reward. Karma is neutral. The universe functions without bias, ensuring that every action elicits an equal reaction, similar to Newtonian causality.
Examples
A wealthy person born into privilege experiences the fruits of past generosity, not divine favor.
Someone facing hardships is resolving karmic debts from a prior life, not being "punished."
The Karmic Account
The birth chart represents the karmic account. Blessed planets and well-disposed houses indicate that you have “credits” of wisdom or good fortune. Conversely, afflicted planets and ill-disposed houses suggest that you have accumulated karmic debt.
People who believe in karma not only avoid committing illegal or disrespectful actions toward others but also aim to generate credits. Consider individuals like Warren Buffett or Bill Gates, who are giving away most of their wealth to charity instead of passing it entirely to their children.
Whitney Houston married Bobby Brown in 1992 after meeting him at the 1989 Soul Train Music Awards. Their early relationship was passionate, but soon after their marriage, Brown became controlling and emotionally abusive, using verbal insults and attempting to dominate Houston’s career decisions. A notable incident occurred in 2003 when Houston appeared with a black eye and bruises, prompting a domestic violence call, though she did not press charges. They separated in September 2006 and their divorce was finalized in April 2007. She passed away in 2012 at the age of 48, with her death attributed to accidental drowning, with cocaine intoxication as contributing factor.
In her natal chart, the 7th house of marriage contains Mercury ☿, hemmed between Uranus ♅ and Pluto ♇, with its ruler, the Sun ☉, placed in the 6th house of conflict.
When a house is afflicted and/or ill-disposed, it suggests a karmic debt in that particular area of life. Karmic debt can result in:
A total denial of a specific life experience.
Delay and frustration in achieving a particular goal.
The ability to access a particular experience after satisfying certain conditions.
Experiencing something under challenging conditions (as was the case for Whitney Houston regarding marriage).
Is the Purpose of Life to Resolve Karmic Debt?
Was Whitney Houston’s life purpose to endure an abusive marriage for 14 years? Of course not. The purpose of life is to use our talents to make a meaningful contribution to the world. Whitney Houston was a global icon, renowned for her extraordinary vocal talent and emotional delivery, as indicated by her 2nd house where she has an incredible strength with the Moon☽ and Jupiter♃ in its own sign, Pisces ♓. As an African-American woman, she broke racial and gender barriers in the music industry paving the way for artists such as Beyonce, Rihanna and Alicia Keys. Her gospel roots and uplifting songs inspired millions, emphasizing themes of love, resilience, and self-empowerment.
Why do people encounter their karmic debt in certain areas of life and shift their time and energy away from pursuing their life purpose?
Unfortunately, people often make life decisions based on movies, fictional stories, personal image, anticipated material gain, societal or familial pressures, or simply following others, risking a plunge into an abyss.
Only by recognizing any outstanding karmic debt in a particular area of life can one consciously choose to avoid it or face it with awareness, without unrealistic expectations, while adopting the right mindset and acquiring the necessary skills to handle it.
As you can understand, being able to read the birth chart is very important. The World Health Organization outlines 10 core life skills, including self-awareness, decision-making, and problem-solving, that everyone should master. But how can you achieve these goals without being able to read your birth chart?
Why is birth chart reading not taught in schools, particularly in high school?
The answer lies in the dysfunction of modern society, where even the basics of nutrition are not taught. Today, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death, because people are not taught how to eat for optimal health. Are you aware of the complete list of foods with their polyphenol content (antioxidant and anti-inflammatory)? If so, please respond to this email, and you will receive a gift.
Similarly, no one teaches birth chart reading in schools because there is little interest in helping individuals make the most of their lives.
